Week 5
Part One: Support and Comment on Teammates' Goals (30 minutes)
Comment on Liam Connor's Goals
The first that caught my eye was making your own game. I enjoy video games in my free time but I haven't really thought of being a game developer it seems interesting but challenging. Something else that caught my eye is developing an app, a notes app making your own workouts seems like an interesting capstone idea. The last idea that caught my eye was the security-focused dating app. It doesn't need to be dating-centric but finding several ways to make your website/app safer can be a challenging project for the final presentation.
Keep Up With Your Learning Journal
This week, I learned more about stakeholders and their positions in argumentative essays. I learned how to analyze stakeholders. I learned of the different claims that can be debated in rhetoric and argumentation. Such as fact, value, policy, definition, and cause. I learned more about how easy it is to be biased in argumentation and how to keep it out. By being objective and using factual evidence when discussing claims of each stakeholder. I learned more about AI usage and prompts as well.
I've always known the importance of internships. They give you good real-world experience and connections which you can't get anywhere else. I've always wanted to get one and plan on doing so. As for graduate programs, I have not considered one at the moment, however, I am not entirely opposed to it. If it can help me later on in my career whether it be a new job or an increase in position I will absolutely consider and do so. Both have their pros it just depends on your time in your career. I think I need a better resume before I'm able to get an internship so I am open to learning how to better myself and my resume.
